Many have probably heard of the Financial Diet. Whether you've read the book or found Chelsea Fagan's remarkable blog posts on their site. For me, special appreciation stems from the earnest content on their Youtube channel. To quote their page: "The Financial Diet talks about personal finance in a way that doesn't make you want to curl up in a ball and cry."
Whether you're crawling out of debt, scrounging for a trip, or saving for a home, the Financial Diet team offers practical and manageable information, tips, and direction on something that we all wish we had learned in school. If you're asking yourself "Will I ever be able to afford my first home?" The Financial Diet team offers enough information to encourage you to answer back "Yes."
In the current economic climate, particularly for those in their early twenties, the idea of owning a home can feel impossible. It isn't. It's all about framing your perspective to suit your goals. If your goal is to own a home, there are tools out there to help you get there faster. Don't underestimate the power of little by little.
The option of a home helps in the long run as well. Equity begets equity. If you work toward a home, what you're really working toward is a stable financial future. You have start somewhere, and the Financial Diet offers assistance to everyone, regardless of their finances, credit history, or future goals. So go for it!
