Everyone is always looking for fun ways to get out and about during the summer time. We've amassed a list of fun family friendly excitement. So get out there; embrace your community!
Brampton
Garden Square FREE!
There is something going on in the square almost every night. It's a beautiful, lively area and just a minute's walk from Gage Park as well. Below I've included a couple of my personal favourite events that the Square hosts in the summer time.
Saturday Movie Nights
Lots of family friendly fun along with some occasional double bills to entertain people of all ages!
I personally recommend Coco and The Greatest Showman (completely fantastic). Steel yourself. You might cry.
Brampton on Stage
July 4 – August 29
Enjoy performances from local artists every Wednesday at 7:00pm

Etobicoke Creek Trail FREE!

If you're feeling particularly outdoorsy, consider trekking this trail stretching from Peel Village to Mayfield Road (14.5 km). It's a lovely way to really immerse yourself in what summer has to offer. Taking some time to appreciate the arborous charms of Ontario is always a fine idea.
Mississauga
Celebration Square
Mississauga is known for its collection of annual festivals. They celebrate food, culture, music, and art on a nearly monthly basis. It's always worth checking with the insauga blog to see what's happening in the near future.
World Soccer 2018 FREE!

Celebration Square is screening the World Soccer tournament games throughout July. If you're a fan and looking for a communal area to really get pumped, it's definitely worth stopping by.
Lions Farmers Market
The farmers market is hosted every Wednesday from June all the way through to October. All locally sourced, there are vendors of fresh produce as well as baked and canned goods (even honey and wine). The event is hosted by the Mississauga Central Lions Club. Run errands and enjoy the weather at the same time. It's an adventurous way to encourage kids to appreciate grocery shopping and where their food comes from.

I know I'm not alone in being very excited to have an opportunity to watch Black Panther again. That movie is incredible.
Philippine Festival free to attend
Saturday, July 7 - Sunday, July 8

An exciting cultural celebration weekend offering immersive expression of culture through food, performance, participation and artisan item booths. Take a chance to get to know a neighbor's culture better, or make your grandmother happy that you're getting to know your own. Whatever the case, it's definitely worth checking out.
Bollywood Monster Mashup free to attend
Friday, July 20
4:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Another beautiful performance experience celebrating culture and art. It includes not just performances from real Bollywood stars, but a free chance at dance lessons, and areas for kids. It's an energetic experience for all ages. Get out there and let yourself, and your family, dance!
Caledon
Belfountain Music Festival

Two full weekends of musical performances from various artists. It's a cornerstone of community culture in Caledon.
Light Up the Runway 2018
August 2, 7:30 pm

This fundraising event (benefiting Bethell Hospice) offers an opportunity to get back in touch with your community. Light Up the Runway provides the unique experience of walking down the Brampton-Caledon Airport runway lit with HUNDREDS of candles in honour of those in care. Fold into the community atmosphere with the Caledon Concert Band and barbecue dinner for registrants. Whether you are offering support, or more if you are able, its a tender community moment not to be missed.
